Roadmap is mainly used for product roadmaps, project roadmaps, and high-level planning. From a process perspective, a roadmap can serve as input for a project schedule.
Roadmap supports exporting a roadmap document to a QuickPlan file, with options to customize timeline, dates, structure, and content.
- Timeline Customization - flexibly map Roadmap timeline cells to QuickPlan timeline dates, and customize the project calendar (working and non-working days). For example, map one Roadmap timeline cell to one week in a QuickPlan schedule.
- Start Date - Specify the start date of the exported QuickPlan project.
- Layout - Map roadmap sections and rows to task groups in the QuickPlan project.
- Content - Customize which content is included in the QuickPlan project.
Notes
- The minimum task duration in QuickPlan project schedule is one day.
- Roadmap does not support importing from QuickPlan files. (Roadmap organizes tasks in sections and rows, and one task cannot overlap another. Converting a QuickPlan schedule would introduce logical conflicts.)
